A belated Happy New Year to you all! 

I hope 2011 is off to a good start wherever you may be.

I've been kept busy these last few weeks rehearsing the new songs and doing interviews to promote my new album 'Traiveller's Joy' which will be released a week today!!

The response we've had so far has been great and I'm chuffed that it has been album of the week on BBC Radio Scotland's 'Travelling Folk', 'Take the Floor' and 'Iain Anderson show'.

Tickets are selling well for the launch tour and there are now only a few left for Lochside Theatre, Castle Douglas so please book if you're hoping to come along to avoid disappointment on the night.

To coincide with the new album, the multi-talented Jamie McClennan has built me a new website which is now live.  The new site contains all the info and links you need to be kept in the loop with what we're up to and if you haven't already checked them out on myspace and facebook you can listen to sample tracks from Traiveller's Joy on the website.

The mighty Celtic Connections Festival is underway in Glasgow and my first visit will be tomorrow evening to perform a live session for 'Global Gathering', Mary Anne Kennedy's show on BBC Radio Scotland .  I'll be joined by Jamie McClennan and Duncan Lyall on guitar and double bass with the addition of Signy Jakobsdottir on percussion and Claire Mann on flute, whistle and fiddle.  The show goes out live between 8 & 10pm and will be available to listen again on bbciplayer:
