Hi Pietro,Thanks for your reply great stuff, it does not matter how well you play it's what you put into the comunity that matters.I am only a solo player wnen I am asked if I want to play at our club nights. We hold our meetings on the 3rd Tuesday in every month. We alternate between a members night one month and a guest artist night the next month. I have been playing since I was about 11yrs old and I an now 78yrs old. Up until I had major surgery in 2004 I used to play in our accordion band. But that stopped because I had to surrender my driviing licence due my reaction times being not too good. A good member friend takes me to the club nights when I am well enough. We start our evenings off with a playing circle so that players of limited ability can join without feeling intimidated. We then have better players playing solo by invitation. But on guest nights the solo spots go by the board. Last month we had a wonderfull annual concert in a local town haall with Oleg Sharov from St.Petersburg as our guest. This month we have Harry Hussey as our guest. He is celebrating a belated 80th birthday by touring and playing ay accordion clubs throuout the UK.the band have played quite a few gigs during this last two months and I agree with you that we should do something like this so here goes with band gigs Stafford Victoria Park, Endon harvest supper, Kibblestone Scout Camp,a church restoration gig at Bethesda Chapel. And the most important one playind at the Winking Man pub on the highest point on the Staffordshire Moorlands for a charity which brings children over frpm Belarus who have been affected by the Chernobel dister for some TLC in Derbyshire. So there we are Pietro for starters. And great stuff on you playing in the orchestra and the band, keep it up.HopeI have not bored the pants off you or anyone else who may be viewing this epistle.
Best regards,
Roy.
